Eng vs WI

Eng vs WI:

WI won by 6 wickets what a great game of cricket. It seems that T20 game is only for WI.ICC T20 2016 ends with WI win.WI became a champion in 2nd time.
Darren Sammy goes to Zaheer Abbas (ICC president), collects the trophy and the party begins. The champagne bursts out and the West Indies team do the 'Champion' dance as they pose for the cameras. Don't go away folks! Some emotional and strong words were spoken by both Sammy and Samuels. Hang on for a bit, we'll get everything transcribed for you.

Sachin Tendulkar
WI all the way!! True champions, be it u19s, women's or men's championship! Super stuff by team WI! Brathwaite was breathtaking!

Shahid Afridi
Brilliant is the word..Super performance WI.. Well done Eng.. Overall Cricket is the Winner!!
Shane Warne
Seen a lot of things over 25 yrs being involved in international cricket. But nothing quite like that finish to a game 6 6 6 6 congrats WI !
Kumar Sangakkara:
Amazing game. What a performance by the WI. Strong belief, stronger faith. What a statement in more ways than one
Sammy
"Firstly, I want to thank the almighty. We have a pastor in the team - Andre Fletcher, who kept praying. Really happy with this win and this is something that we will cherish for a long time. It was serious hitting from Brathwaite. It said before that we have 15 match winners in the side. Every game somebody took responsibility. To see him play like that in his debut World Cup was amazing. Hopefully, with the right structure and development, we'll get better in ODIs and Tests as well. (Nasser Hussain asks Sammy to compare this win with the 2012 victory. Sammy says, "Nass, do you really want me to tell you, okay." And the speech starts) We started our journey. We all know what we had. People were wondering whether we would play this tournament. We had a lot of issues and we felt disrespected by our board. Mark Nicholas described our team as a team of 'no brains.' All these things just before the tournament brought this team together. I want to really thank these 15 men with. The ability to put all those adversity aside and to come out and play this type of cricket in front of such passionate fans... it's just tremendous. I personally also want to thank the coaching staff. Coach Phil (Simmons). He's been through a lot. To come here and the way he's coached this team.. he's just brilliant. All the other coaching staff who have done their part. We had a new manager in this tournament in Rawl Lewis, who has never managed any team before. He came here. We had a camp in Dubai. We had no uniforms. No printing. He left Dubai, went to Kolkata.. that's where we started. The trouble he went through to get us in this uniform.. I got to give credit to the entire team here. It was us in our own little circle. We dedicate this win to all the fans in the Caribbean... (Sammy becomes a bit emotional). And lastly I want to find the heads of Caricom. Throughout this tournament they have been supporting the team. We have got emails, we have got calls. Prime Minister Mitchell, I know what he's trying to do. I really want to thank him and he sent a very inspiring message to the team this morning... and we are yet to hear from our own cricket board and that is very disappointing. For today, I am going to celebrate with these 15 men and this coaching staff. I don't know when I am going to be playing with these guys again, because we don't get selected for one-day cricket. We don't know when we are going to be playing T20s. So this win.. I want to thank you my team. I want to thank you coaching staff. Everybody in the West Indies are champion." As soon as the speech ends, there is a big roar from his team-mates! Gee, that was some emotional speech from Sammy.

Samuels:
"First of all I played a practice match against Australia and I was sitting in the same seat that I got a one-ball duck. So I said I wanted to go back to the same seat and make something special. Yesterday I told the guys about that. I don't worry about semi-finals because when it comes to the final throughout my life, I always turn up and do well for my team. I grew up watching England cricket. All respect for the England players. I never lose respect for them. We are champions and we want to go from strength to strength. He (Carlos Brathwaite) is a patriot. I didn't have much to say to him, I just told him to swing and swing hard. (Nasser Hussain says well played Marlon and tries to conclude the interview, but Samuels stops him for a moment). I would like to say something. I wake up this morning with one thing on my mind. Shane Warne has been talking continuously and all I have to say without talking is this is for Shane Warne (Samuels shows the Man of the Match award to the camera as he says that statement). I answer with my bat and don't answer with the mic." Shane Warne and Marlon Samuels go a long way back. Remember the Melbourne derby in BBL game? Dig deep and find out how it all started.
Marlon Samuels is the Man of the Match for his unbeaten 85.
Morgan

"I would like to congratulate Darren (Sammy) and his team. They played better than us. But certainly today, it was huge highs and huge lows. You are never sure in this format. We felt we were in the game at the halfway stage. We didn't have enough runs on the board, if were to be brutally honest. It was a really good batting surface and we should have had 180-190 on the board. Badree got two early wickets, which was unfortunate for us. But the rebuilding after that was good. I am so proud of everybody in the squad. They showed immense amount of character to get to this stage. We truly believe that this is only the start of something special. We have a huge amount of talent to work with. It is not his (Stokes's) fault. We are all in this together. We have been since the start. We enjoy our wins and we suffer with our losses. The pain will be shared tonight."
